Vice President Kamala Harris faced tough questions from Fox News' Bret Baier about President Biden's mental health during a recent interview.
"You told many interviewers that Joe Biden was on his game, that he ran circles around his staff. When did you first notice that President Biden's mental faculties appeared diminished?" Baier asked.
Harris took a moment before she spoke. She defended Biden's capabilities. "Joe Biden, I have watched from the Oval Office to the Situation Room. He has the judgment and the experience to make very important decisions on behalf of the American people," she said.
Baier pressed further, "There were no concerns raised?"
"Bret, Joe Biden is not on the ballot… and Donald Trump is," she replied.
The conversation turned to comments from actor George Clooney, who noted in a New York Times op-ed that Biden wasn't the same person he used to know.
"You met with him at least once a week for three-and-a-half years. You didn't have any concerns?" Baier continued.
Harris pivoted, saying, "I think the American people have a concern about Donald Trump. That's why the people who know him best, including leaders of our national security community, have spoken out. Even people who worked for him in the Oval Office have said he is unfit and dangerous and should never be President again."
Critics have long questioned Biden's mental acuity, a claim denied by Democrats and legacy media. However, this narrative shifted after Biden's poor performance in the CNN debate against Trump. This led to his exit from the 2024 race and Harris rising to the top of the Democratic ticket.
