While on a visit to Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Virginia, First Lady Melania Trump was faced with a very interesting request. One of the women who serves with the Virginia Air National Guard was waiting to meet Melania. Only this was different from the other people looking to meet her. She was holding a photo of her husband, Timothy Mong, who was unable to attend the event.
Mong is a huge fan of Melania and also a veteran himself. “My wife told me she was going to meet the first lady about a week ago,” Mong said to The Daily Caller. “I was happy for her but I was also pretty bummed I couldn’t be there to meet her in person as well. She came up with the idea to print out a photo of me in hopes of her taking a picture with it.”
“This was the next best thing if it worked and I had my doubts,” Mong explained. “My wife pushed through a crowd and explained the situation to Mrs. Trump and she happily obliged.”
Well, it was a successful arrangement and Tim may be a part of the photo of the year.
Here are the photos where the moment came together, courtesy of Tim Mong.
Tim was ecstatic about this.
Lately Melania has been on a massive holiday tour of military bases, hospitals and aircraft carriers. There have been some incredible exchanges between her and service members and their children.
