Sen. Mike Lee of Utah revealed the final text message he received from Charlie Kirk before his death.
"This is Charlie’s last text to me yesterday as he was heading to his event at UVU," Lee wrote on X. "So tragic."
The senator shared a screenshot of Kirk’s words. "Thank you so much. Just landed," the first text read. A follow-up said, "Event I think is going to be a win."

Lee also announced that he has introduced a Senate resolution in Kirk’s honor.
"I introduced a Senate resolution honoring Charlie Kirk this morning," he posted on Thursday.
The resolution declares that the Senate "condemns the assassination of Charlie Kirk in the strongest possible terms." It also states that the chamber "extends its deepest condolences and sympathies to Charlie Kirk's family."
In addition, the measure affirms that the Senate "honors Charlie Kirk’s commitment to the constitutional principles of civil discussion and debate between all people of the United States, regardless of political affiliation."
