Donald Trump is under fire for sharing a fake video of himself and Barack Obama at Jimmy Carter's funeral.
In the clip, Trump and Obama were seen laughing and chatting, a rare sight given their history of criticism toward each other. The interaction quickly went viral, racking up over 1.4 million views.
Speculation about their conversation grew as neither president disclosed details. Lipreader Jeremy Freeman claimed Trump told Obama, "We have to find a quiet place later to discuss a matter of importance," and later added, "This is a matter of importance, and we need to do this outside so that we can deal with it."
On Sunday, Trump stirred the pot further by sharing a spoof video with fake audio of the exchange. The parody reignited social media buzz.
In the dubbed video, a fake Obama tells Trump, "I knew you'd win." The pseudo Trump responds, "Come on. Anyone could beat her," referencing Kamala Harris, whom Trump defeated in the 2024 election.
As Harris and her husband walked past, the faux Obama jokes, "Did you see that? [Harris] won’t even look at me." The fake Trump adds, "Apparently, they said she fell off the wagon."
The fake Obama continues, "I think she actually may have...and also she’s not really built for this amount of pressure."
The video, though a spoof, added fuel to the already buzzing conversation about the two presidents’ rare moment of interaction.
