President Donald Trump shared his thoughts on Jill Biden’s role in the Biden administration during a Fox Noticias interview.
When asked if she was Joe Biden’s “autopen,” Trump replied, “No, I don’t think so.” But he added, “She was certainly involved because he gave her the last meeting to preside over with the Cabinet.”
Trump was referencing Jill Biden’s appearance at a Cabinet meeting in September 2024 — a move that stirred controversy.
Debate over her influence started well before that meeting. Critics long questioned how much sway she had in Biden’s presidency.
Trump, however, pointed the finger at others.
“They had a lot of bad people. They had a lot of radical left lunatics in there, and I think he was perfect. He was perfect for them because he didn’t have a clue,” Trump said.
Questions about Biden’s cognitive health grew louder after his debate with Trump in the summer.
Books released after Biden left office have added fuel to those concerns.
Trump, meanwhile, has emphasized his own fitness. After a physical at Walter Reed, he told reporters, “I felt I was in very good shape.”
He even said he took a cognitive test.
“I think it’s a pretty well-known test. Whatever it is, I got every one — I got it all right... I’ve taken the cognitive test, I think, four times and I've gotten nothing wrong,” Trump said. “Biden refused to take it, Kamala refused to take it.”
