Sharon Osbourne Reveals Her 'Biggest Mistake' She Made With Her Husband

Sharon Osbourne once turned down a big opportunity for her husband, Ozzy. Now, she regrets it.

Ozzy, 76, was offered an audition for Pirates of the Caribbean. Sharon, 72, didn’t think it was the right fit for him.

"Do you want to know the biggest mistake I ever made with Ozzy?" she asked Billy Corgan on The Magnificent Others podcast.

"He got offered to go and read for Pirates of the Caribbean… I’ve never said this to anyone, and I said no."

"Now wouldn’t he have been perfect?" she added.

The podcast host agreed. "He would have been perfect! Maybe it’s not too late, but God bless."

Sharon then recalled how Johnny Depp wanted Keith Richards in the films. "You remember?" she said. Richards later appeared in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End and On Stranger Tides as Captain Teague.

Ozzy has been in films before. He made appearances in Austin Powers in Goldmember, Little Nicky, and more.

Sharon’s revelation comes as Ozzy continues to struggle with health issues. Walking has become difficult for him.

"I go on about the way I can’t walk, and I can’t do this… but you know what I was thinking over the holidays? For all my complaining, I’m still alive," Ozzy said on the Jan. 29 episode of Ozzy Speaks.

"I may be moaning about how I can’t walk," he continued. "But I look down the road and there’s people that didn’t do half as much as me, and they didn’t make it."

"So many friends and acquaintances are gone," he added.

Ozzy still keeps moving forward. "I have to balance myself when I get out of bed. I’m not dead, still actively doing things."

He has one last performance planned with Black Sabbath’s original lineup. The show is set for July in Birmingham, England.

"It’s my time to go back to the beginning, time for me to give back to the place where I was born," Ozzy said. "How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love. Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham forever."

Ozzy was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2003.

In 2023, he announced his retirement from touring. He admitted he was no longer "physically capable" of handling the demands of the road.
