'Shark Tank' Star Puts $12 Million Penthouse Up For Sale

Barbara Corcoran, founder of the Corcoran Group and longtime "Shark Tank" star, has listed her Manhattan penthouse for $12 million. The duplex, located in the Carnegie Hill neighborhood near Central Park, spans nearly 3,800 square feet and features four bedrooms, four full bathrooms, two half-baths, and sweeping views of the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir.

Corcoran shared the listing on Instagram, calling the residence her "palace in the sky" and expressing hope the next owner cherishes it as much as she has. She originally bought the home in 2015 for $10 million — over two decades after first spotting it while working a side gig delivering messages in 1992. At that time, she asked the owner to notify her if it ever went up for sale.

Extensive renovations have since transformed the penthouse. The first-floor living room boasts oversized windows, soaring ceilings, custom moldings, and a wood-burning fireplace. Other notable features include a library, a service wing, and a second-floor glass solarium dining room that had once been a greenhouse.

The solarium opens onto a large outdoor terrace, making the space ideal for entertaining or casual meals. The listing describes the solarium as an “unparalleled space to host dinner parties,” with panoramic views of the city and park below.

Corcoran said she and her husband, Bill Higgins, decided it was time for a one-story home, citing the difficulties the staircase now poses for Higgins. "It’s time to begin our next chapter," she wrote.

Corcoran started her real estate empire in 1973 with a $1,000 loan. She sold the company to NRT Inc. in 2001 for $66 million. She has since become a familiar face on “Shark Tank,” where she has served as a panelist for 16 years.
