President Trump Mocks Chiefs, Taylor Swift After Attending Super Bowl LIX

President Donald Trump made history Sunday as the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl. He stole the show from Taylor Swift and made sure to rub it in afterward.

When Trump appeared on the Superdome jumbotron during the national anthem, the crowd erupted in cheers. Moments later, Swift was shown, and fans booed her loudly. To make things worse for Swift, she watched her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, suffer a crushing 40-22 loss to her childhood favorite, the Philadelphia Eagles.

Trump wasted no time mocking Swift and the Chiefs on Truth Social. He credited the boos to his loyal "Make America Great Again" supporters.

“The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift,” Trump wrote. “She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!”

During the game, Trump posted videos of himself being cheered and Swift getting booed, adding fuel to the fire. Their rivalry has grown over the past year, especially with Trump’s 2024 campaign in full swing.

After Swift endorsed Kamala Harris for president on Sept. 10, Trump quickly clapped back. The next day on "Fox & Friends," he said he preferred Brittany Mahomes, wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, over Swift. Brittany had shown subtle signs of support for Trump on social media.

Trump even took to Truth Social to declare, "I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!" just days after her Harris endorsement. Swift’s relationship with Kelce only added to the drama.

She became a fixture at Chiefs games, with NFL cameras cutting to her multiple times per game. While some loved it, longtime NFL fans grew frustrated with the nonstop Swift coverage.

Swift was at last year’s Super Bowl when the Chiefs won. This year, her continued appearances at NFL games left many fans annoyed. Meanwhile, her relationship with Brittany Mahomes appeared to cool off, likely due to their political differences.

Still, the two women kept up public appearances. They were seen at a group dinner with Kelce and Patrick Mahomes just days before the Super Bowl.

Despite picking the Chiefs to win, Trump didn’t hold back from mocking Kelce, Swift, and the Mahomes family Sunday night.

But Trump wasn’t done. He also criticized the NFL’s new kickoff format, something he’s hated all season.

“The worst part of the Super Bowl, by far, was watching the Kickoff where, as the ball is sailing through the air, the entire field is frozen, stiff,” Trump wrote. “College Football does not do it, and won’t! Whose idea was it to ruin the Game?”
