On February 1, Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy and his wife Hillary Vaughn became proud parents with the birth of their first child, a baby girl.
Doocy made the announcement of their daughter's birth, Bridget Blake Doocy, in a tweet on Thursday. In the tweet, he mentioned that he had sought advice from President Joe Biden on fatherhood and asked for "tips."

Doocy and Vaughn shared their exciting news of expecting a child during a September segment of "Fox & Friends," where Steve Doocy, Peter's father and a Fox News anchor, was promoting his cookbook. On live television, Vaughn revealed to the audience that she was "eating for two," and followed it up with a picture of her ultrasound.
In 2021, Doocy and Vaughn tied the knot in a secret wedding ceremony in South Carolina, opting for an elopement.

During the White House press briefing on January 3, Karine Jean-Pierre, the White House press secretary, jokingly suggested that Doocy should name his daughter after her. This suggestion was met with laughter from the members of the press in the briefing room.
On January 6, Fox News journalist Peter Doocy took to Instagram and posted a picture of himself asking President Joe Biden a question on the White House South Lawn. Along with the photo, he added a humorous caption that read, "MISTER PRESIDENT, WHAT SHOULD WE NAME OUR DAUGHTER?"

Doocy is the most recent addition to the growing list of Fox News personalities who have announced new births or pregnancies in recent months. In early December, former White House press secretary and "Outnumbered" co-host Kayleigh McEnany gave birth to her son Nash Gilmartin. Additionally, in December, "The Five" co-anchor Jesse Watters revealed that he and his wife Emma DiGiovine are expecting a baby girl in April.
