NFL Legend Set to Appear on Campaign Trail With Trump

NFL Hall of Famer Brett Favre is heading to a campaign rally for Donald Trump on Wednesday. He’s coming to terms with the intense atmosphere of this election cycle.

On Monday, Favre shared his thoughts on social media. Just over a week remains before many voters head to the polls. “In all the elections I’ve seen over my lifetime, I’ve never seen one where there was so much hate,” he posted on X. “It’s certainly sad to see.”

The Trump campaign confirmed Favre as a guest speaker at the rally in Green Bay, set for the Resch Center. Favre has been a vocal supporter of Trump, having endorsed him in the 2020 election against Joe Biden. Trump ultimately lost that race.

Last year, Favre expressed that the U.S. was in a "better place" during Trump's presidency. "I think our country was in better shape with him," he said on the "Fearless" podcast. “Was he perfect? Absolutely not. Am I perfect? Absolutely not. I’m flawed just like the rest of ’em."

Favre emphasized that Trump cared about all Americans. “Black, White, Hispanic, Asian — you name it. If you were an American citizen, he cared about you,” he stated. He questioned whether the current president shares that mentality.

In 2020, Favre supported Trump for his views on freedom of speech, gun rights, and backing the military and police amid racial unrest after George Floyd’s death. “My Vote is for what makes this country great,” he wrote on X.

He stressed the importance of respecting freedom of choice. “For me and these principles, my vote is for [Donald Trump],” he declared.
