Iconic 'Rocky' Star Passes Away at 83

Oscar-nominated actor Burt Young, best remembered for portraying Paulie in the "Rocky" series, has passed away at the age of 83, per Fox News.

The exact circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear. The New York Times reported that Young passed away on October 8 in Los Angeles.

"Burt was an actor of tremendous emotional range," his manager Lynda Bensky said in a released statement. "He could make you cry, and he could scare you to death."

Bensky continued, "But the real pathos that I experienced was the poignancy of his soul. That’s where it came from."

Young boasted over 160 roles in his illustrious career, but he was most renowned for his portrayal of Paulie, Sylvester Stallone's brother-in-law, in six installments of the "Rocky" franchise.
