House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries delivered a rare and stunning admission Wednesday: President Donald Trump deserves credit for solving the border crisis. The top Democrat was forced to concede the massive victory while speaking on CNN’s "The Situation Room." This is proof that Trump's policies are working where Democrats failed spectacularly.
CNN co-host Pamela Brown cornered Jeffries with irrefutable government data. She said, “U.S. Border Patrol has released zero undocumented migrants into the U.S. for six consecutive months, and daily average apprehensions at the southwest border are lower now than under Biden.” Brown asked Jeffries directly, “Are you willing to give President Trump any credit for that?”
Jeffries, facing the facts, had no choice but to concede. He said, “The border is secure. That’s a good thing. It’s happened on his watch. He wants to claim credit for it. Of course, he’ll get credit for that.”
The Democrat leader quickly pivoted to deflect the focus from Trump’s success. He tried to claim Republicans are unfairly “breaking up families, law-abiding immigrant families, in some cases.” He claimed Republicans were "actually deporting citizen children of the United States of America."
The White House immediately exposed Jeffries’ hypocrisy and deflection. White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson said, “Even a broken clock is right twice a day.”
Jackson added that Jeffries was desperate to appease his liberal base. She said, “But while Hakeem Jeffries cannot deny the president’s tremendous success in securing our border and protecting our homeland, he had to spin up some lies in order to placate his rabid left-wing base.”
The spokeswoman slammed Jeffries for his dishonesty. She said, “It’s sad that Hakeem is so beholden to the far-left liberals that he can’t even speak the full truth about the president’s tremendous accomplishments.”
The CNN host herself confirmed Jeffries’ deflection, saying, “It is true that the polls show, in terms of the tactics used, that the majority, they don‘t like the tactics being used.” But the numbers confirm the result is exactly what the American people wanted: security.
