Kendrick Lamar is a Grammy Award winning rapper. He recently put out a new song called “Humble”, in which he raps about how he’s tired of photoshop and he want to see more “real” beauty, or natural beauty. The music video features a woman with stretch marks and no makeup. Coming from a rapper like that is a swim against the tide, since most rap songs are about girls with big boobs and perfect bodies.
Now Twitter feminists are losing their mind, calling accusing Lamar of misogyny. So why are they upset? Their whole movement is about self love, natural beauty, unshaved pits, stretch marks, fat love, etc….So is it only okay when a feminist says it? Is it such a crime to them because a man put it into a song?
