A dad’s pricey Disney breakfast is going viral — and people can’t believe the receipt.
John ‘Rock & Roll’ Tolkien, known as @jrockandrollt on X, shared a photo of his $937.65 bill from Disneyland’s “Princess Breakfast” on Monday. It was for a family of five — two kids and three adults. And yes, that total includes a $150 tip.
“‘Princess Breakfast’ at Disneyland with my kids,” he wrote. “Almost spit out my coffee.”
The post exploded online. It racked up 16.5 million views in just days, with thousands of people chiming in. “Please tell me you have 35 kids,” one person joked. “You could go to Italy for a month for that,” another added.
The high-priced meal took place at Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures, located inside Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa. The cost? A flat $142 per person — no discount for kids.
Guests get a three-course meal with appetizers like lobster rolls, beignets and cornbread. Kids chow down on waffles or mac and cheese. Adults get fancier options like short ribs and deviled eggs. Dessert includes cake pops, cream puffs and sorbet.
Despite the sticker shock, the dad said the experience was worth it. “Service was attentive and enthusiastic,” he wrote. “Princesses were all trained pro-actresses and spent a lot of time with the kids. I enjoyed it.”
Disneyland is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year. The company says its parks generate nearly $67 billion annually across the U.S. — and this viral breakfast proves fans are still willing to pay.
