Uniquely, this time around, the renowned eatery will launch a Carne Asada Quesadilla available only through the Chipotle app, Chipotle.com, and other delivery services.
Carne Asada made its first appearance in Sept. 2019. The company stated that it rapidly gained popularity among fans.
For months, enthusiasts on social media have been requesting the return of the protein option to the menu.
During its initial limited-time offering, the flavor-packed protein was purchased by roughly 10 million customers — with nearly half being newcomers to the eatery, as stated by Chipotle.
In 2020, Carne Asada graced the menu once again for its second limited stint.
Social media enthusiasts have been vocal about their desire to see the protein make a third comeback — and their wish is set to be fulfilled.
The meat is prepared with marinade and grilled spices such as cumin, coriander, and oregano, then finished with a touch of fresh lime and cilantro.
According to Chipotle, this protein is Whole30 compliant and aligns well with both Keto and Paleo dietary preferences.
To mark this event, from Sept. 14 to Oct. 1, Chipotle is providing complimentary delivery for all orders made via their app or website.
Starting Sept. 13, Carne Asada will be available for purchase in Chipotle outlets, as confirmed by the company.
