UPDATE: Former President Donald Trump has cancelled his Jan 6. press conference.
“In light of the total bias and dishonesty of the January 6th Unselect Committee of Democrats, two failed Republicans, and the Fake News Media, I am canceling the January 6th Press Conference at Mar-a-Lago on Thursday, and instead will discuss many of those important topics at my rally on Saturday, January 15th, in Arizona – It will be a big crowd!” Trump said.
According to reports, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are planning to speak at the Capitol on January 6 to mark the anniversary of the 2021 Capitol riot.
Breitbart notes that Biden, along with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, will focus their speeches on the "insurrection" committed by the protesters in attendance.
Interestingly enough, former President Donald Trump is planning to hold his own press conference on the 6th as well to talk about what REALLY happened on that day, not what the Democrats try to sell.

Trump plans to make the case that the true “insurrection” was on Election Day in 2020 and focus on the “rigged” presidential election, saying in a statement that “[R]emember, the insurrection took place on November 3rd, it was the completely unarmed protest of the rigged election that took place on January 6th."
Some protestors of the 2020 election entered the Capitol building on January 6 of last year as the electoral votes were being counted and the election was being certified. Pelosi has since then set up a House committee to investigate the events of that day, comprised of all Democrats and two Republicans, Reps. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo. and Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill., both of whom voted for Trump’s impeachment following the event.
Recent polling shows a majority of Americans finding the committee to be “partisan and politically motivated.”
It will be an interesting day, for sure. The left and the media will use the anniversary of the riot to make Trump seem like a villain, as usual.
