A woman went viral after sharing her unusual seat on a plane. She bought a front row seat but ended up facing the entire cabin.
Jess Smith, @jesssmith_36, posted her experience on TikTok. Her video has racked up 15 million views. In it, she looks visibly uncomfortable, staring out at fellow passengers.
"When you book row 1 as a treat, it turns into you facing the entire plane," she wrote in the video. Her caption? "Never going to recover."
Surprisingly, this seating arrangement isn’t that rare. Zach Griff, a senior aviation writer, explained that some airlines have rear-facing seats for business class passengers.
"In the U.S., American and United offer rear-facing seats on some of their wide-body planes," Griff told Fox News Digital. "You can check the seat map during booking to see if your seat is rear-facing."
United Airlines confirmed that 23 of their 945 aircraft have this option. They also said seat maps help customers know if their seat faces forward or backward.
Smith didn’t reveal which airline she flew with in her viral video.
