50 Cent isn’t staying quiet about a possible Trump pardon for Sean “Diddy” Combs. The rapper, also known as Curtis Jackson, reacted after President Donald Trump suggested he’d consider one—if he believed Diddy was “mistreated.” The comment came just a day after Trump pardoned Todd and Julie Chrisley.
Trump was asked by Fox News reporter Peter Doocy if he’d pardon Diddy, given their past friendship. The president said he hadn’t followed the case closely but was open to reviewing it. “I would certainly look at the facts,” Trump said. “It’s not a popularity contest.”
Diddy is facing serious charges. A federal indictment unsealed in September hit him with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and more. If convicted, he could spend life in prison.
He’s pleaded not guilty, but the trial has featured disturbing allegations. Witnesses described rape, physical abuse, forced labor, and drug trafficking. The case is ongoing, but the national spotlight hasn’t dimmed.
Trump acknowledged they hadn’t spoken in years. “He used to really like me,” he said, before noting their relationship cooled when he entered politics. “You become a much different person when you run for politics,” Trump added.
He said he hadn’t received an official request for a pardon but believed people were “thinking about it.” He reiterated that whether someone liked him or not wouldn’t sway his judgment. “If I think somebody was mistreated… I would certainly look at the facts.”
50 Cent didn’t mince words. He reminded Trump that Diddy had made harsh remarks about him. “I’m going to reach out so he knows how I feel about this guy,” he said on social media.
Later, 50 Cent responded to headlines claiming he planned to “nuke” Diddy’s pardon hopes. “I didn’t say nuke anything,” he wrote. “I simply said I will make sure Trump is aware.” The feud between the two music moguls shows no signs of cooling off.
