This was the first time Heard County's Deputy Brandon Wiggins experienced anything like this.

During a routine traffic stop a man approached him. Wiggins became nervous, but realized there was not much he could do.

“I got nervous, but there was nothing I could do at that point in time. I got out of my car, put my hand on my gun, just in case everything went wrong,” Wiggins recalled.

The man was actually the father of the driver who was pulled over for running the stop sign.

"God bless you. I appreciate all you do for us."

Deputy Wiggins wanted to release this video let people know that there are still people out there that care about police.
