The former Vice President definitely wishes he could have this one back. On Tuesday Joe Biden used a racially charged remark to describe women from Detroit. Biden referred to them as "women from the hood."

This happened while he was speaking at a forum on the future of America's middle class. T

his event was hosted by the Brookings Institution and the Biden Foundation.

"Ordinary people do extraordinary things," Biden said, setting himself up for his disastrous remark. "We become awful elitist, we don't think ordinary people can do things that, like, program, code."

Biden went on to say that learning how to code is "not rocket science." Then he went on to say that when there was a need for coders in Detroit, women were picked "from the hood" to do this job.

"We went we hired some folks to go into the neighborhoods, they picked pick 58 women, turns out, from the hood."
