Trump Derangement Syndrome runs rampant among college students. For instance, they absolutely hate Trump for sending troops to the border. Until they find out Obama did the exact same thing.
This video was uploaded by Campus Reform. Their media director, Cabot Phillips, spoke with students at the University of California - Santa Barbara.
The students gave you the exact reactions you'd expect when they were asked about Trump sending troops to the southern border of the United States.
“I feel like it’s not justified...it is like a totally uncalled for act of power,” one of the students said. Another of the students suggested that it "puts a bad light on America."
Per Daily Wire:
A more radical student wondered “where do [we] draw the line on who can be here or not?”
Yet another student stated that she doesn’t believe it’s okay to “send militarized troops to people who are coming in unarmed.”
Then Phillips flipped the script: “Did you know that President Obama did the exact same thing when he was president?” he asked.
The student who called Trump’s actions an “uncalled for act of power” simply replied: “Like...” followed by a lengthy pause. He eventually finished his thought, saying: “I don’t know anything about that, personally. So, the difference is definitely with publicity and like, false information.”
Two other students said they weren’t aware that Obama sent troops to the border, telling Phillips that it was “surprising,” and that they weren’t “up to date with politics.”
Another student walked around the question, saying: “When President Obama did it, I felt that there was, I suppose, different coverage as to what the intentions were. So I guess I would have to read up more about the intentions behind Trump’s versus the intentions behind Obama’s.”
It’s amazing how people can so quickly pivot from condemning Trump’s behavior to thoughtfully reacting to Obama’s.

This kind of video is great. It really puts things in perspective and shows off how hypocritical students are. I mean, after all, they are in college and still growing up. But it's incredible how they almost all feel the same way. It's almost like they're being taught to think like this. Hmmm.
