Rep. Nancy Pelosi has once again taken crazy to another level. This time Nancy Pelosi thanked Rev. Al Sharpton for "saving America." Seriously.
The House minority leader was a featured speaker at the National Action Network’s Legislative and Policy Conference, which is an event that is hosted by a civil rights nonprofit group that is ran by Sharpton.
At the conclusion of her speech, Pelosi claimed that Democrats are going to do all they can to unify the country and she thanked Rev. Sharpton.
Nancy Pelosi to Al Sharpton: ‘Thank You for Saving America’
“We’re going to be visionary, we’re going to be unifying, we’re going to be healing, we’re going to be transparent in how we do this. We’re going to be respectful of other views. But we’re going to try to find our common ground where we can. We have a responsibility to do that, but where we can’t, stand our ground like a rock. That’s what Thomas Jefferson advised us to do.
Thank you for helping take back America. People all over the place are calling me, writing, in airports, here and there, saying, ‘Thank you for saving America.’ I give those thanks to you. Thank you for saving America. Reverend Sharpton, thank you for saving America.”
Despite her claim that Sharpton is going to help her unify the country, he has a long history of doing the opposite.
There is certainly importance in calling out racism when it exists, but Sharpton goes way too far, often using the race card when it just doesn't make sense.
He had a very famous public mistake in the 1980s with a KKK rape hoax with Tawana Brawley.
Rev. Shaprton spoke out on behalf of Brawley routinely when she claimed to be raped by six men, including four KKK members. Even after this was revealed to be a hoax, Sharpton admitted no wrongdoing.
Sharpton also has a very long history of tension between himself and other groups of people, including white people and police.
Reid has reluctantly "half-admitted" to homophobic rants in blog posts.
Sharpton, literally, contributed hate-filled and incendiary rhetoric that actually incited the fire-bombing, leading to deaths at Freddie's Fashion Mart in Harlem in '95.
What did I miss?

Despite his checkered past, Nancy Pelosi think Sharpton will save American. She also thinks together they can be "visionary," "unifying," and "healing."
Somehow Nancy Pelosi has managed to go even crazier.
