A friend of Elijah Cummings and pallbearer at his funeral left Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell stunned by refusing to shake his hand.

Video footage of the incident has gone viral after being uploaded to Twitter on Thursday. It shows Bobby Rankin shaking hands with several different lawmakers before completely dissing Mitch McConnell.

In the video Rankin gives a huge to House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (D-SC). After that he shakes the hands of House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD), House Minority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY).

McConnell, who is standing next to Schumer, is completely bypassed by Rankin as he moves in for a huge with Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

Chuck Schumer can barely hold back a grin while McConnell is completely stunned.

Even though he was completely snubbed, McConnell still paid tribute to Cummings during the memorial service. He described him as a man who "did not just represent Baltimore, he embodied it."

"He knew there was only one reason why a son of sharecroppers, a child who had literally had to bear the injuries of bigotry, and segregation, could graduate from law school, and eventually chair, a powerful committee in Congress.

"Only one reason, because principle leaders had fought to give kids like him a chance."
