Former First Lady Michelle Obama just released her new memoir and is on tour promoting it. Last night she appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! where she casted some major shade at First Lady Melania Trump.
Kimmel brought up the White House staffer that was removed per the suggestion of Melania Trump. Michelle Obama's response was she never did anything like that in the White House.
Deputy National Security Advisor Mira Ricardel is who Kimmel was referring to. First Lady Melania released a statement that supporter her firing. This sparked a debate on how much control the First Lady should have over the White House staff, but also national security matters.
It started off with Kimmel begging for the Obamas to go back into the White House to replace President Trump. Kimmel has made no secret of his disdain for President Trump.
Kimmel turned and asked the fired staffer, “If you wanted to get someone in your husband’s administration fired, how would you do that?”
Obama grinned and responded, “Why do you ask? We had wonderful people in our administration.”
A clear shot at the current first lady.
She also mentioned how her husband is working on his book. It is insane that these two continue to attack and rally against President Trump. Your time came and went. Move on.
They then talked about 2020. Michelle said she “never had any serious conversations with anyone about it because it’s not something that I’m interested in—or would ever do. Ever.”
Things can change. Hillary Clinton once said she would not seek office, but she did. Time will tell. But in the meantime she will continue to rip the Trump administration.
