With the Democrats now controlling the General Assembly of Virginia after obtaining the majority, they have started working to pass strict gun laws that are unconstitutional.

They are so adamant about the new laws that they have even threatened calling in the National Guard in order to enforce their demands.

But law-abiding citizens and gun owners in Virginia aren't going down that easy as the overwhelming majority of counties have passed resolutions to become 2nd Amendment Sanctuaries. But one Virginia county has taken it a step even further.

In addition to passing a resolution declaring the county a Second Amendment sanctuary, the Tazewell County Board of Supervisors on Dec. 3 also passed a resolution underscoring the right to a well-funded and regulated militia as described in the U.S. Constitution and the commonwealth’s constitution, WJHL-TV reported.

The Second Amendment Sanctuary resolution indicates the county won’t provide funds for any measure infringing upon its citizens’ Second Amendment rights, the station said.

The militia resolution allocates county funds to maintain a well-regulated militia, board chairman Travis Hackworth told WJHL.

Vice Chairman Charles Stacey added to the station that the militia resolution also would provide immediate intervention if the Virginia General Assembly — which will be Democrat-controlled in 2020 — passes legislation violating citizens’ Second Amendment rights.”

Lieutenant Gov. Justin Fairfax said in regards to the Second Amendment Sanctuary movement, “The focus should remain on what he called 'common sense measures' to keep communities safe. We’re here to protect each other, to keep everybody safe.”

I wonder how far big government and Governor Northam are willing to push this before they abandon going after these law-abiding citizens with their tyranny? Do they anticipate confiscating weapons because they're not going to be able to do so lawfully in sanctuary counties? Remember local government trumps bigger government when it comes to what takes precedence.
