Over the last few years the University of Missouri has had some struggles with social issues and public relations. They resulted in loads of protests and the resignation of the university president.
Well, things still aren't where they need to be. On Wednesday Mizzou tried to brag about "inclusion" when they sent out this perplexing image:

Of course there were some strong reactions to these insanely stupid tweets.

Mizzou did admit the campaign was an abstract failure and apologized for it.
Earlier we made a mistake when we posted a graphic about our student athletes. We apologize. Our intent was to provide personal information about our students, but we failed. The damage was done, though. The social media manager who put this together should be on the unemployment line.

There is plenty of diversity in the University of Missouri athletics. All they had to do was showcase some of it. Instead they put together this blunder of a social media campaign.
