Donald Trump has always maintained a pro-life stance. However, amid the latest abortion laws being passed, he has been rather quiet on the topic.

On Saturday night, the president tweeted up a storm, stating that he is "strongly pro-life" but also aded that he believes there should be exceptions in the bills for women who are victims of rape or incest. He also wants an exception in the case of the mother's life being at risk.

"As most people know, and for those who would like to know, I am strongly Pro-Life, with the three exceptions - Rape, Incest and protecting the Life of the mother - the same position taken by Ronald Reagan," Trump tweeted.

"We have come very far in the last two years with 105 wonderful new Federal Judges (many more to come), two great new Supreme Court Justices, the Mexico City Policy, and a whole new & positive attitude about the Right to Life. The Radical Left, with late term abortion (and worse), is imploding on this issue," he continued.

He has not commented directly on the new Alabama abortion law, which does not allow exceptions for incest or rape.

Trump added, "We must stick together and Win for Life in 2020. If we are foolish and do not stay UNITED as one, all of our hard fought gains for Life can, and will, rapidly disappear!"

While I do sympathize with women who have been raped, I do not believe that it makes the life of the child any less valuable. Murder is still murder. That child did not ask to be created and doesn't have any power over choosing its parents.

One woman responded to Trump's tweet, and I couldn't agree more. She said, "I’m not sure how Christians can make exceptions for rape and incest. The baby has its very own unique DNA. The act of how the baby was conceived doesn’t have any bearing on its value as an image bearer of God. We should value all lives from the moment of conception."
