The Obama administration made an order that allows transgender students to use the bathroom of their choice. Trump prepares reversal of Obama's transgender bathroom mandate.
White House press secretary announced Tuesday that the transgender bathroom mandate will be abandoned. Moving forward states will decide who can enter the bathrooms and locker rooms.

It was ruled that transgender students were allowed to go to restrooms that they identify with, not according to their biological features.
