With Trump hosting, SNL posted its best ratings since 2012. The rating was a massive 6.6. This defeated the highest rating of the season, which was hosted by Miley Cyrus. Guess who the guest for that episode was? Hillary Clinton. The overnight rating for Trump was 47% higher than the combo of Cyrus/Clinton.
Trump was very confident going into this debate. He stated that he always gets the best ratings.
SNL is not the only show that Trump is bringing in ratings for. The August debate on Fox News had over 23 million viewers. The September debate on CNN had a similar number of viewers.
The Republican President-hopeful still has a lot to prove when it comes to becoming a real threat to become President of the United States. But one thing is for sure. Many people will be tuning in to see if he can actually make it all the way. Trump drives ratings, that's for sure.
