This is a proud tradition of American presidents that Donald Trump was excited to take part in. The troops were excited to have him as a part of it.
Theodore Roosevelt helped turn this into a tradition by attending a snowy Army-Navy game in 1901. George W. Bush attended the event three times. Heck, even President Obama attended the event one time.
The 117th Army-Navy game had President-elect Donald Trump in attendance. While he did not take part in the tradition of sitting with Army for the first half and Navy for the second, look for that after he is inaugurated.
