Did you know that last week alone, the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reported whopping numbers of apprehensions, upward of 3,700, in just ONE day?
Illegal immigration is a serious problem in our country. Democrats claim we do not need a wall, but when there are THOUSANDS of illegals flowing across our border a day, it's more than serious. It's an invasion.
The CBP Commissioner released a statement from El Paso, Texas last week about the crisis. He said, "CBP is facing an unprecedented humanitarian and border security crisis all along our Southwest border," he continued, "On Monday and Tuesday, CBP started the day with over 12,000 migrants in our custody. As of this morning, that number was 13,400. A high number for us is 4,000. A crisis level is 6,000. 13,000 is unprecedented."
So in his words, we are beyond a crisis.
"On Monday, we saw the highest total of apprehensions and encounters in over a decade, with 4,000 migrants either apprehended or encountered at Ports of Entry in a single day. That was Monday. Yesterday, we broke the record again with 4,117." The Commissioner added, "We are now on pace for over 100,000 apprehensions and encounters with migrants in March, with 90 percent of those, 90 thousand people, crossing the border illegally between Ports of Entry. March will be the highest month since 2008. The arriving flows are made up primarily of Central American families and unaccompanied children.”
Tomi Lahren spoke about the ongoing situation during her show, Final Thoughts, and she made some extremely valid points. For one, these groups know how our system works with Democrats fighting for their ability to get a drivers license and vote as illegal immigrants. They know they they can come across the border and disappear and live an American life, without any of the due process.
Lahren said, "They know full well there isn’t enough space or enough beds in detention and processing centers for them.The Democrats know it too. In fact, the Democrats pushed for that. Remember? That was part of their deal memo during the government shutdown - a cap on the number of beds."
So what does a shortage of beds mean for the detained illegals? After being captured, they are to be taken to a detention facility. However, if the beds are full and there is not any more room, then they are just given a "notice to appear" when there is more room. Which in return, gives them the freedom to simply disappear into our country, scot-free.
Lahren continued, "So it doesn’t take a genius to figure out if they rush the country in huge numbers, we won’t have enough space and they will be released into our country – regardless of the merit of their asylum or immigration claim – to live in the shadows, have babies, and become faithful new Democratic supporters."
Democrats push hard for this, as well as to allow them to vote, because that is what keeps the dirty dems in office: corruption.
Tomi added, "Bottom line is this: the Democrats are not humanitarians. They are opportunists."
