As we are well aware, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has been holding on to the articles of impeachment and refusing to hand them over to the Senate so that they can begin the impeachment trial and put an end to this mess.
Many senators, including multiple Democratic senators, have grown very impatient over Pelosi's antics and have given her an ultimatum: Hand over the articles of impeachment or the Senate will dismiss the whole thing.
In fact, they've even given Pelosi a deadline...January 12th.
Senator Josh Hawley said via Twitter, "Dems said impeachment was URGENT. Now they don’t want to have a trial, because they have no evidence. In real world, if prosecution doesn’t proceed with case, it gets dismissed. So on Monday, I will introduce measure to dismiss this bogus impeachment for lack of prosecution."
"This will expose Dems’ circus for what it is: a fake impeachment, abuse of the Constitution, based on no evidence. If Dems won’t proceed with trial, bogus articles should be dismissed and @realDonaldTrump fully cleared."

Is it just me, or did they say that this was an urgent matter when they were flying through the hearings like there was no tomorrow?
They've voted on the articles and approved them, so turn them over already if they're so sure that he did wrong and the case is strong enough. Quit playing stupid games.
According to The Hill,
Officials for the GOP senator didn't immediately respond to questions about his plan.
The House last month passed two articles of impeachment — one on the president abusing his power in his dealings with Ukraine and another on him obstructing Congress during its investigation of those actions — making Trump the third president in U.S. history to be impeached.
But Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has declined to say when she will transmit the articles to the Senate, an action that would kick off the impeachment trial.
Pelosi said she wants to know the details of the trial proceedings. The move appears to have rankled Trump, who has repeatedly lashed out over the decision.
As we suspected, this false sense of urgency has just been a big show for the world to see and it's only making them look completely foolish.
