The Wicked Witch of the North, Governor Gretchen Whitmer is once again attempting to shut down the state of Michigan entirely.
She's claiming it's because of COVID, of course, but those of us who aren't stupid know that it's just about control and compliance.
If they were to go through another shutdown thousands upon thousands of people in Michigan would lose their jobs and businesses would go under.
Thankfully, the Supreme Court rejected her decision because there were not enough legislators who approved it. So far, there have been 143,000 coronavirus cases in Michigan and more than seven thousand people have died from it.
Whitmer thinks the extended lockdown could save more lives even though a lot of people have rallied against the lockdown. Apparently, a lot of people don't really want to stay at home and wait for a vaccine to pop up, but that's very unlikely to happen until next year at the earliest.
Even if we are under a worldwide pandemic, life still goes on and it would be hard to take away Americans' way of earning money for their families.
The Supreme Court lists some hospital workers who are against her decision to extend the quarantine. They don't think they are capable enough to handle all the tasks needed when the lockdown extends.
Some critics say that Gov. Whitmer did not put a lot of thought into her decision to extend the lockdown, and I can definitely believe that because she doesn't ever think anyway.
It will only be a matter of time before Michigan residents rally again if her wish was granted. She reasons out that her rejected decision could not have come a more abrupt time since the President was at the hospital as he also has the coronavirus even if it wasn't too serious for him.
I imagine this pandemic mess will be over within the next six months, but only time will tell.
