On Easter Sunday, six blasts happened at almost the exact same time in Sri Lanka at the Cinnamon Grand, Shangri-La and Kingsbury hotels in Colombo, as well as three churches. Later, police also reported more explosions.

The blasts that killed more than 290 people and injured 500 people were due to seven suicide bombers of the Muslim faith. Another 24 suspects were also arrested.

Islamic extremist Zahran Hashim, one of the alleged suicide bombers, made a video prior to the bombings stating that “anyone who disagrees with Muslims should be killed.” It was shared on Twitter by Imam Mohamad Tawhidi, who makes a point to call out extremists and terrorists.

“We spend hours exposing extremists every day. This video & its background went unnoticed due to language barriers. If he was exposed & brought to the attention of the authorities, he could’ve been stopped,” Tawhidi tweeted with the video.

Police reports show that Hashim was the suicide bomber responsible for the blast at the Shangri La hotel.

According to Sri Lankan authorities, they were actually warned about the terroristic plot to attack churches and tourists, but they did nothing about it. Chief of staff Hemasiri Fernando said, "We never expected it to be so big. We never thought it would happen so soon."

Icing on the cake: as if the Easter bombings aren't bad enough, Democrats are refusing to call the tragedy what it really is. They tiptoe around calling out Islam for the bombings out of fear of being "Islamaphobic." In fact, they refuse to even say the word "Christian" on Twitter, but rather call the victims, "Easter Worshippers."
