USA! USA! USA! After getting dealt with the United States, a sore loser Canadian women's hockey players took her medal off immediately after it was placed around her neck at the awards ceremony.
During the women's final, the Canadians went to a shootout after regulation ended in 2-2 tie. The women were able to get the win and it gave the United States their first gold medal in this particular event. Canadian Jocelyn Larocque was so upset about the loss his team took that she couldn't stand to wear the silver medal while she was still on the podium.

"It's just hard," Larocque said, per a report from Fox News. "You work so hard. We wanted gold but didn't get it."
Twitter ripped her for her poor sportsmanship.
Be sad, be disappointed, but don't be a bad sport.

Poor sportsmanship. You can’t win every time. Wait until you’re off the ice to be bitter and salty.

Then there were others who stepped in and defended the move of the Canadian sore loser.
Silver means you didn't win. Who wants a medal for that. Seriously.

For most hockey players it's gold or nothing. Teams like Canada Russia USA, they don't really like playing bronze-medal matches. It's not a championship. This girl's just being hard on herself.

You can't win silver... You lose gold and get silver to feel better, it's a participation trophy

But then this Twitter user nailed it.
All true statements. But she still needs to stop acting like a child.

When you lose and make it about you, you are discrediting the winner. Let them have their moment as a gold medal winner.
Plus Canada has won four gold medals in this event in a row. Let the American women get some shine.
