Bernie Sanders paints a beautiful picture of Denmark and portrays it as a country that the US should model itself after. He makes some points that may seem reasonable. Let's make something clear. All is not well in Denmark. For instance, there are thousands of people protesting in the streets with regards to the budget cuts in education.

On top of that, the deficit in Denmark is soaring. Their private debt is higher than anywhere in the world. Gas is about $6 per gallon and electricity is 180% the price here. To put it simply, Denmark is not in a sustainable approach.

Besides, making a comparison between the US and Denmark never made sense. The US is a diverse population of 300 million people. Denmark is barely larger than the state of Wisconsin.
