Recently Kanye West has expressed support for Donald Trump and criticized the "plantation" mentality of the Democratic Party. The left has met these actions of Kanye West with massive backlash. A Democratic congresswoman told him to "stop talking so much." Even his fellow performers have turned on him and denounced him. In response hip hop superstar Snoop Dogg has posted an "all-white" Kanye West.
"The new. Kanye well allwhite now way to go dude," Snoop posted as a caption under the photoshopped image.
Snoop Dogg blasted Kanye West for some comments he has made taking on the left. A big part of this was attacking the "plantation" mentality of all African Americans voting Democrat and also pointing out that the Democratic Party was the party of slavery.
The comment that hit the hardest was when Kanye said that 400 years of slavery "sounds like a choice."
When you hear about slavery for 400 years – for 400 years? That sounds like a choice. Like, you was there for 400 years, and it’s all y’all? You know, like, it’s like we’re all mentally imprisoned. I like the word “prison” [because] “slavery” goes too direct to the idea of blacks. It’s like “slavery,” “Holocaust” – “Holocaust” is Jews, “slavery” is blacks. So, “prison” is something that unites us as one race. Black and whites being one race, that we’re one race. That we’re the human race.
Later West used a series of tweets to clarify things, but the damage was done.
