Sen. Martha McSally, a retired Air Force colonel and A-10 squadron commander, is receiving plenty of internet hype after she shooed off CNN reporter Manu Raju and called him a “liberal hack” on Thursday morning.
As McSally walked through the Senate halls on the way to a hearing room, Raju came up and asked her if she would be considering any new evidence in the Senate’s impeachment trial.
In response, McSally breezed right by and said, “Manu, you’re a liberal hack; I’m not talking to you.”
He then asked, “You’re not going to comment, senator?” to which she repeated, “You’re a liberal hack.”
Raju took to Twitter to mourn his hurt little liberal feelings. He wrote about how she lashed out at him, and her response was absolutely GOLDEN.
McSally tweeted back, “A) you are. B) here’s the video”:

Fox News host Laura Ingraham also jumped in on the action and tweeted, “McSally is saying what at least half of America thinks about the reporters of resistance.”

In response to the question of new evidence, some senators have said that they will at least consider the evidence that the House has sent out. Though I’d be willing to bet it’s just a pile of trash.
Sen. David Perdue is not on board though, He told CNN he will “absolutely not” consider new evidence.
“That’s not our job,” Perdue said. “Our job is to respond to the evidence that has been given in the case that was built by the House. They’ve given us two very weak articles of impeachment. Our job is to look at what they brought us and decide if that rises to the level of impeachment.”
