President Trump Announces a Wall in Colorado

On Wednesday President Trump declared the United States is building a border wall in Colorado, even though the state does not sit on the U.S.-Mexico border.

“You know why we’re going to win New Mexico? Because they want safety on their border. And they didn’t have it,” President Trump said during a speech at a conference in Pittsburgh.

“And we’re building a wall on the border of New Mexico,” Trump continued. “And we’re building a wall in Colorado. We’re building a beautiful wall, a big one that really works that you can’t get over, you can’t get under.

He wasn’t done: “And we’re building a wall in Texas. And we’re not building a wall in Kansas, but they get the benefit of the walls we just mentioned. And Lousiana’s incredible.”

With Colorado sitting directly north of New Mexico, there are no reports of a wall being built there.

This was a case of President Trump’s enthusiasm for border security getting the best of him.

Of course people took to Twitter to make fun of him for his misstep.

President Trump will probably get on Twitter and make light of the situation.
