This has been a common theme for the Trump presidency. President Trump does something Obama refused to do. Shows some respect to law enforcement.
On Monday might President Trump will light the White House up blue to honor fallen police officers.
"In humble appreciation of our hard-working law enforcement officers, Melania and I will light the White House in blue on May 15," Trump said in a statement.
During his presidency Trump has often spoken out about the need to protect police officers. He also described himself as the "law and order candidate" while running for president.
Below is a video of President Trump taking action to help police officers more safe.
Taking action and lighting up the White House blue is a great move to pay tribute to officers who have been killed in the line of duty. Below is a photograph of the White House lit up blue.
President Trump Does Something Obama Refused To Do
In 2016, President Obama's White House Press Secretary blew off a request made by the media to light up the White House blue to honor the five Dallas police officers killed by Black Lives Matter. Check out the video.

Another situation where President Trump is outperforming Obama. By showing respect to those who keep us safe.
