On Friday, U.S. District Judge James Robart issued an injunction against the executive order that banned refugees from seven countries. This ruling took place on Friday night. Previously banned refugees were now able to board in airports and fly to the United States. These seven countries are terror threats as designated by the Obama administration.
The White House is fighting this ruling. Press secretary Sean Spicer made this statement Friday night: “The Department of Justice intends to file an emergency stay of this outrageous order and defend the executive order of the President, which we believe is lawful and appropriate.”
It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the next few days. Also, why didn't anyone overrule any of President Obama's executive orders?
