I don't believe that there is anyone who thinks that Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler shouldn't resign from his job, especially after what he just said.
Mayor Wheeler hinted at something regarding ammunition and federal officers that we've suspected for a while. He wants another Kent State.
For those who may not remember or may be too young, thirteen students were shot and four of them were killed by members of the Ohio National Guard in an attempt to quell the violence caused by anti-war activists.
This shooting triggered massive protests across the country. Now, here we are again essentially.
Here we are in 2020 and Mayor Wheeler claims that federal officers may begin using live ammunition to quell the protests.
He tweeted:

This is the very definition of gaslighting. Wheeler continued,
Given the deployment of federal agents to other American cities and the clear escalation of the federal government, this information was alarming. I have spoken with the U.S.Attorney of Oregon, Billy Williams, who assures me that the federal government has no plans to use live ammunition on Portlanders tonight, and that such an order would be unlawful. Nevertheless, I am sharing this information publicly out of an abundance of caution. If you plan to demonstrate tonight, please be safe.

Wheeler is doing everything he can get the heat off him and it’s not working. Check this side by side video out of Wheeler claiming what the feds are doing is urban warfare while projectiles are being launched at the courthouse by activists.
