One Parkland Shooting Survivor has connected with the Democratic Party. Marjory Stoneman Douglas senior Sara Imam has called the tragic shooting a reason to support Democrats in 2018 elections. This was part of an email the DNC sent out Friday.

Imam wrote ,“If you’re with me and other Stoneman Douglas survivors, add your name to commit to vote this’s the only way we’ll do something about gun violence in our country,” and also urged the people to "Help elect Democrats who will take action on gun violence."

Per Daily Caller:

Democrats have repeatedly sought to turn last month’s tragic shooting, which left 17 people dead, into a political advantage.

DNC chair Tom Perez sent out a fundraising email the day after the shooting, trying to turn grief into political donations. (RELATED: DNC Fundraises Off Florida Shooting)

Democratic Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz reached out to Parkland students the day after the shooting, she told BuzzFeed News. Since then, Wasserman Schultz has helped the students plan gun control demonstrations and has advised them on communications strategy, she said.

Now, the DNC is taking it a step further and directly using the students’ names and stories for their fundraising efforts, which have lagged well behind the pace set by the Republican National Committee.

The Democratic Party has failed miserably in fundraising efforts and fallen behind the Republicans in a big way. And they are willing to do whatever it takes in order to close that gap apparently. It's despicable.
