President Obama spoke at a Democratic fundraiser on Thursday. While there he shared his one regret during his time in office.

There were many great choices he could have made. The Benghazi attack, the IRS scandal, the disaster that was and is Obamacare.

No, he went in a different direction. He blamed the people. He thought people were too focused on him instead of other politicians in the part, after the Democrats lost the House in 2010.

Per Politico:

“I’ll be honest with you, if I have a regret during my presidency, it is that people were so focused on me and the battles we were having, particularly after we lost the House, that folks stopped paying attention up and down the ballot."

Many people on Twitter were quick to point out the narcissism in this statement:

During the speech he gave his Democrat buddies a bit of a pep talk when he told them to fight harder before the 2018 midterms.

“If you are one of these folks who is watching cable news at your cocktail parties with your friends and you are saying 'civilization is collapsing' and you are nervous and worried, but that is not where you are putting all your time, energy and money, then either you don't actually think civilization is collapsing ... or you are not pushing yourself hard enough and I would push harder.”

While he didn't call Trump out by name, he was pointing criticism in his direction, claiming that he promotes fear.

“Telling people that somebody’s out to get you, or somebody took your job, or somebody has it out for you [...] that’s an old story and it has shown itself to be powerful in societies all around the world," Obama said.

The left continues to shift blame for why their party is sinking. There is a unanimous refusal to take any blame for how the last two years have went.
