On Monday when speaking with a Navajo code talker, President Trump referred to Elizabeth Warren as "Pocahontas." Everyone was waiting for a response.
In case you missed it, when President Trump was honoring the veterans when he said, “We have a representative in Congress who they say was here a long time ago. They call her Pocahontas.”
Trump has been directing the "Pocahontas" nickname at Warren and for good reason. She lied about her fake Indian heritage to help land a teaching position at Harvard where she earned $350,000 per year.
One of the veterans honored at the event was Thomas Begay. He was interviewed by CNN political analyst Joshua Green. Begay said that he may have been puzzled by the remark Trump made, but he was not offended by it.
“The Marines made us yell ‘Geronimo’ when we jumped out of planes, and that didn’t offend me either,” Begay said.

Elizabeth Warren has already fired back at President Trump's remarks. While speaking with CNN's Anderson Cooper, Warren claimed she was a victim of a "racial slur."
"There he was, at a ceremony to honor Native Americans, men who have really put it all on the line to save American lives, to save lives of people, our allies, during World War II, really amazing people," Warren said. "President Trump couldn't even make it through a ceremony to honor these men without throwing in a racial slur."
