Officers posed as the boy via text message and met up with Day at her house. When they arrived at her house she texted back, “The doors [sic] unlocked as usual.”

Per Daily Wire:

“When investigators entered the home, Day was sitting on the floor of her living room with candles lit and all of the lights off, authorities said. She was also reportedly wearing a Christmas cat T-shirt and workout shorts,” reports Fox.

Day admitted to authorities that she had received photos of the boy’s genitals and that she has sent “bra and panty” photos to the minor.

“I’m no longer surprised by the people who commit these crimes, because predators come from all walks of life,” said Canadian County Sheriff Chris West.

“This is a classic case of a serious breach of public trust,” he added. “Schoolteachers are entrusted to protect and educate our children, not to engage in an unlawful sexual relationship with them.”

The official Twitter account for Yukon Public Schools released a statement on the disturbing matter on Thursday. “[T]he safety and well-being of our students is our number one priority,” read the statement.

Day remains incarcerated at the Canadian County Jail and is on bond for $85,000.
