All eyes are on the world, and especially President Trump right now as America braces herself for the spread of the coronavirus.
The President has done a remarkable job handling the outbreak so far and the administration has done well to keep it contained as much as possible. But not all presidents do so well with such an event of this magnitude.
Take for instance former President Barack Obama. Back in 2009 when the H1N1 Swine Flu virus was spreading throughout the country, his response wasn't nearly as thought out as President Trump's.
It wasn't until October 2009 that Obama called a national emergency over the virus. By then, the H1N1 virus had already infected millions of Americans and had killed 1000 already.
CNN reported at the time:
Since the H1N1 flu pandemic began in April, millions of people in the United States have been infected, at least 20,000 have been hospitalized and more than 1,000 have died, said Dr. Thomas Frieden, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. [emphasis added]
Furthermore, the CDC's Frieden fretted at the time that efforts to create a vaccine had stumbled:
"We are nowhere near where we thought we would be," Frieden said, acknowledging that manufacturing delays have contributed to less vaccine being available than expected. "As public health professionals, vaccination is our strongest tool. Not having enough is frustrating to all of us."
Frieden said that while the way vaccine is manufactured is "tried and true," it's not well-suited for ramping up production during a pandemic because it takes at least six months. The vaccine is produced by growing weakened virus in eggs.
But wait, there's more.
According to Virology Journal, the 2009 H1N1 came into the U.S. from Mexico:
The swine-origin influenza A (H1N1) virus that appeared in 2009 and was first found in human beings in Mexico, is a reassortant with at least three parents. Six of the genes are closest in sequence to those of H1N2 'triple-reassortant' influenza viruses isolated from pigs in North America around 1999-2000.
In the end, it was estimated that approximately 60 million Americans contracted Swine Flu and more than 12,000 died from it.

It seems that Iran is getting the worst of the coronavirus (other than China of course). The virus has been spreading rapidly and has even infected 28 members of the Iranian parliament. Even an advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei died from the virus.
Ayatollah Khamenei himself will likely be infected soon if he hasn't been already. I'm sure they'll keep it hush-hush even if he is so as to not cause alarm in the country.

For instance, the push for mandatory vaccination is just one way they are looking to control the people, by way of our elected officials. Once the officials make it a law, then people must be injected with whatever the pharmaceutical companies come up with and we can't even fight it.
