It's become apparent that many of the younger generation is more liberal than the older. There are many things that have contributed to that and none of them are some grand awakening.
The dumbing down of society and the lost art of using logic are but two reasons, but another reason I think is that they want to feel like they're doing something important and making the world a better place. It seems like the trendy thing to do some they jump on the closest bandwagon and go for a ride.
They no longer care about whether their beliefs comport with reality or having rational discussions, they only care about what they think and their feelings. And it's this sort of thought process that recently led a group of Communist Ayatollah Khamenei sympathizers to protest out in front of the White House.
I don't think they even know what communism is, because if they didn't there is no way they would support it.
These are the same kinds of people who hate Trump because he's so against the gay community, but I guess they just overlook the way that Iran treats gay people.
One reason these liberals hate President Trump is that he is supposedly “anti-gay”, but what they fail to realize is that Iran executes homosexuals in extremely violent ways.

Democrats in Washington have expressed their concerns that Iran could tap into its international network of allies, which Soleimani was in charge of by directing and launching attacks on the United States or American interests around the world. The Trump administration has defended the strike against Soleimani. He had been overseeing groups that have clashed with U.S. troops in Iraq since the 2003 invasion. Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei responded to these attacks by vowing “harsh retaliation.”
Nobody wants war, but pacifism will get you nowhere when you're being attacked.
