Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has remained pretty open on what he wants for the impeachment trial of President Trump.
McConnell is ready to wrap this trial up as quickly as possible and I think it will end very soon based on what we're seeing.
The Democrats gave multiple days worth of speeches and presented "evidence" and then when it came turn for the White House counsel to refute the evidence and present their own arguments, they only needed 2 hours to do so.
That demonstrates how clear and strong their case is.
But the Democrats are still trying to get more dirt on the President, this time using Lev Parnas to try and pin him down on something with Ukraine.
According to ABC News,
A recording reviewed by ABC News appears to capture President Donald Trump telling associates he wanted the then-U.S. ambassador to UkraineMarie Yovanovitch fired while speaking at a small gathering that included Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman — two former business associates of Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani who have since been indicted in New York.
The recording appears to contradict statements by Trump and support the narrative that has been offered by Parnas during broadcast interviews in recent days. Sources familiar with the recording said the recording was made during an intimate April 30, 2018, dinner at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C.
“Get rid of her!” is what the voice that appears to be Trump’s is heard saying. “Get her out tomorrow. I don’t care. Get her out tomorrow. Take her out. OK? Do it.”
This is simple, the President doesn't remember Parnas which is understandable and I'll give you a perfect example.
Many years ago I used to work at a company that had a very high turnover rate. I worked there for 8 years and occasionally I would have talks with a co-worker about people who used to work there. He would ask me about a specific individual and I would have no recollection of them whatsoever.
Some people are easy to forget, especially when they don't stand out.
