At 93 years old Jimmy Carter is going off. He sat down with the New York Times recently and brought the thunder. The Times played up the fact that Carter, one of the worst presidents in U.S. history, would like to head North Korea as an envoy.
As usual the Times is very out of touch. They have no idea what actual news is.
First Carter said there was no Russian interference in the election. If far left Jimmy Carter can realize this, why can't other Democrats?
He also mentioned that the he did not vote for Hillary during the primary. Him and his wife voted for Bernie Sanders.
Jimmy Carter called out Obama for not delivering on his promises. In fact, he made it worse.
"He made some very wonderful statements, in my opinion, when he first got in office, and then he reneged on that," he said about Obama's action on the Middle East.
According to Carter, the media is harder on Trump than any previous president. It might come as a surprise that Carter even defended Trump.
"I think the media have been harder on Trump than any other president certainly that I've known about," Carter said. "I think they feel free to claim that Trump is mentally deranged and everything else without hesitation."
Carter made no bones about. NFL players should stand for the national anthem. Carter has a strong opinion on this issue.
"I think they ought to find a different way to object, to demonstrate," he said. " I would rather see all the players stand during the American anthem."
